• Battlefield 3 Mega-Simulator

Date: 25.10.2011 - 10:20 Author: eigThy@at Links: Die TV "The Gadget Show" aus dem britischen Fernsehen hat das Erscheinen des neuen Battlefield 3 Ego Shooters zum Anlass genommen, den ersten Ego-Shooter Mega Simulator zu bauen. Als Grundelement nutzten sie hierfür einen 360° Panorama Video Iglu Dom, ausgestattet mit 5 HD Projektoren, 4 m hoch und 9 m im Durchmesser. Zur realistischen Spielsteuerung wird ein spezielles, für das Militär entwickelte, Laufband verwendet, welches es ermöglicht in alle Richtungen in unterschiedlichen Geschwindigkeiten zu gehen. Eine gehackte xBox 360 Kinect Kamera sorgt für Erkennung von Springen und Hocken. Für die richtige Stimmung wird durch spezielle Lichteffekte aus 800 Led´s gesorgt, indem man versucht mit den Led´s die Farben des Spiels möglichst exakt zu kopieren und damit den gesamten Simulator Dom auszuleuchten. Spieltreffer bekommt der Spieler "wirklich" zu spüren, über die LED Steuerungssoftware, welche bei einem Treffer durch die roten Ecken auf dem Monitor erkennt aus welcher Richtung der Protagonist angeschossen wurde, werden 12 um den Spieler herum positionierte Paintballwaffen ausgelöst um so Treffer auch physisch wahr zu nehmen. Als Waffe bekommt der Spieler eine veränderte Version des iPhone-Gadgets appBlaster um seine Widersacher unschädlich zu machen. Fazit: Nur Kriegseinsatz ist realistischer! Ob man es braucht keine Ahnung aber es sieht aus als könnte es verdammt viel Spaß machen. Durch Größe und Kosten leider bisher ein Einzelstück und wohl auch kaum fürs Wohnzimmer geeignet.
